Having been a member of London’s Creative Circle and Creative Director within the worldwide D’Arcy group, Graham King joined Marketing Drive in 1990 as Creative Director. After acquisition by Interpublic he became Global Creative Director of 14 offices worldwide and CEO of the London agency where he won 2 ISP Golds, one London TV award for Total Oil and an IVCA Gold for Morphy Richards. Clients included Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Maserati, Johnnie Walker, Gordons Gin, McVitie’s and Procter & Gamble. Between 1993 and 1997 he worked throughout Africa on the Guinness account.
His client list at Quick Thinking included Zoopla, The Jockey Club, Jeep , Chrysler, ArjoWiggins and Time Out. He now works as a marketing consultant on an ad hoc basis and is available for selected project work.
Graham has done extensive pro bono work in the charity sector, creating the ‘It’s a Penalty’ Campaign with the FA and British Airways for the FIFA World Cup in Brazil in 2014. The campaign was hailed by the Met Police as ‘The best crime prevention campaign ever’. He was also actively involved with the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne and the Rio Olympic Committee creating a similar campaign for the Olympics in Rio 2016. The film for the Olympics featured Usain Bolt and was shown on 14 airlines worldwide. Graham played the lead role in liaising with the Directorate of IATA, the International Air Travel Association. He was also responsible for writing, producing and co-directing the films.
Graham is married with 3 grown up children. In his spare time he enjoys golf, theatre, opera, rugby and football. He is an avid supporter of Chelsea FC. He served as a Board Director of the Happy Child Charitable Foundation.
